Kool Karts Sold 13 Golf Carts in One Week: Owner's Story

Kool Karts Sold 13 Golf Carts in One Week: What the Owner Said

Kool Karts sold 13 golf carts in one week. The owner had paid Cart Launch for about one month. He had tried other marketing companies before and was skeptical about trying another. Then he went on camera and said what changed. This is what he said, in his own words, with nothing added.

Who is Kool Karts?

A golf cart dealership, and a Cart Launch dealer partner.

The man on camera is the owner. He talks about his company, his ad spend, a showroom and a sales team.

That is all we will tell you about the store, because that is all he said. He did not give his town, how long he has been open or how many carts sit on his lot. We are not going to fill that in for him.

What had the owner tried before Cart Launch?

More than one marketing company. More than one way to spend the ad budget.

“I’ve went through different companies over the past and tried different techniques and try to spend my ad spend here and do different things and it just didn’t work out right.”

He did not name those companies. Neither will we.

He was also paying for ads every month. “We sit there and spend money every month on magazine ads and a billboard and all this stuff.”

If your money goes to the same places, our breakdown of golf cart dealer advertising walks through where it goes and where it should.

He gave no before number. No carts a month. No leads a month. The closest he came is a line further down, where he describes a full showroom as something the store had not had in quite some time.

Why was he skeptical?

Because he had been pitched before. And he had paid before.

“We have all heard the song and dance before. There’s so many salespeople out there that come to us and they try to get you to spend money with them. And unfortunately, I’ve been down that road quite a few times.”

So his question was not about ads or websites. It was about us.

“That was really the skeptical part is like, are they feeding me a BS line or is this a real company and knows what they’re doing?”

It is the right question to ask.

Why did he say yes?

Two reasons. He checked us out himself. And he liked what we do not do.

It started with an ad. “I seen one of y’all’s ads online and did a little bit of research and reached out to y’all.”

Then the part that stuck with him.

“And the other thing that impressed me was that y’all focus strictly on the golf cart industry. There’s nothing else that y’all work with. Y’all don’t try to use the same tools in multiple industries and get so busy and so big that you can’t help us.”

His worry was not only a company that does not know carts. It was one so busy that a golf cart store turns into one more account on a list.

Why did he change a website he had just had built?

He already had a new site, and he liked it. “I just had this new website built and I personally thought it looked clean.”

So he said yes to Cart Launch and no to the website. “I signed up with y’all but I didn’t sign up with the website at first.”

Then he changed his mind. “But then after a couple conversations with y’all I decided to go ahead and do the website and I will tell you it blew me away.”

What got him, in his words: “The way it looks, having the monthly payments on there, having the contact button, making it so clean where it points them to the contact portion of it, which is the most important, which I didn’t understand that.”

And on the back end, his words again: “But then you get to the backend side. That is the most useful thing. Y’all have done a great job with that website.”

“It’s a very easy to use website, very user-friendly, and obviously it works. We’re getting traffic in the door non-stop right now.”

His short version: “It has been a godsend.”

A site can be new and clean and still not move a buyer toward the store. If you are weighing the same call, our post on a golf cart dealer website redesign covers when you need one and what to keep.

What changed at Kool Karts after the new site went live?

Traffic first.

At the start he had been told to expect it to take a while before floor traffic showed up. It did not go that way for him.

“I think I told you and your partner that it wasn’t a week and a half into it. Y’all just put the website live and within a couple days already started getting traffic and it was pretty impressive.”

Then the carts.

“Just last week alone, we sold 13 golf carts.”

That is a week, not a month. He did not say what a normal week looked like before, so we cannot hand you a before and after. We can only tell you what he counted.

And the money. This is his claim and his math, not ours.

“I’ve only paid about one month so far, and it’s already paid for itself for the next five months.”

What does the showroom feel like now?

Busy enough that the owner steps in to sell.

He describes a day where you have plans to go out and take care of one thing after another. Then:

“You walk in your showroom and there’s four customers in there at one time and your sales team are overloaded and you just step in and you’re selling two golf carts at one time.”

“That’s something we haven’t had in quite some time.”

And how it lands on him: “So it’s a dramatic change and it makes you feel very good, very proud and just excited again, man.”

What would he tell another golf cart dealer?

He aimed this part at other dealers, big or small.

“I don’t care if you’re a large dealer, a small independent dealer, their marketing capabilities, the website design, the easy to use, it will drive traffic into your store. It creates leads on the system. The lead tracking system is unbelievable.”

That is a customer talking, and we are leaving it the way he said it.

He decided to try it. “And I’m so glad that I did.”

“If you’re in the golf cart industry and you have any doubt, you can take my word to the bank.”

He closed with three short lines.

“It is truly amazing what they do. It’s the best money I’ve ever spent. It’s brought my company back to life.”

What can another golf cart dealer take from this?

Three things. You can use all of them without ever calling us.

First, a site you just paid for can still be the leak. He liked his new site. It looked clean. What he had not understood, he said, was how much it matters that the site points the buyer to the contact step. Looking good and selling carts are two different jobs. Tonight, open your own site on your phone, pick one cart, and count the taps it takes to reach a person at your store. That is why we build golf cart dealer websites around the inventory first. Every cart gets its own page with real photos, a real price and the details in text. Another dealer partner’s story is about going from barely any traffic to website leads every week.

Second, skepticism you earned by getting burned is healthy. Keep it. He saw an ad, did his own research, then reached out. Do the same with anyone who wants your ad budget, us included. Start with our questions to ask a golf cart marketing company. Then hear it from other owners. Tillery Custom Carts is another dealer story told in the dealer’s own words. If you are reading Cart Launch reviews before you call anyone, good. That is the right order.

He also cared that we only work with golf cart dealers. Between the owners there is 14+ years operating in 8-figure golf cart dealerships.

Third, when the floor fills up, the owner is back on the floor. Read his showroom story again. Four customers at once. A sales team that is overloaded. The owner steps in. More buyers in the building is the goal, and it is also work. Somebody has to greet them, walk them around the carts and ask for the sale. We do not sell the cart for you. Your team does that. So decide now who takes the next buyer when every salesperson is already with one.

This is one dealer’s account, in his own words, and no two dealerships are the same. We do not promise a number.

How we work is laid out on our golf cart dealer marketing page. More dealers, on video and in writing, are on our results page, and the most detailed one is the 72 aged golf carts in 45 days case study.

If you have been burned before and you are still looking, book a call and bring your hardest questions.

FAQ

Questions dealers ask about this story

Straight answers to the things you’re probably wondering before we talk.

Who is Kool Karts?

A golf cart dealership and a Cart Launch dealer partner. The owner told his story on camera. He did not give his name or his location in the video, so we do not either.

How many Kool Karts golf carts sold in that week?

Thirteen, by his count. His words were “Just last week alone, we sold 13 golf carts.” He did not give a number for a normal week before, so there is no before and after to compare.

How long had the owner been with Cart Launch when he said this?

He said he had only paid about one month so far. That is where he stood on the day of the video, not a forecast for any other store.

Why did he change a website he had just had built?

He thought his new site looked clean, so he signed up without the website at first. After a couple of conversations he decided to do it, and he said “it blew me away.” What he liked about it is quoted in full in the story above.

Will my dealership get the same result?

We do not promise that. This is one dealer’s account, in his own words. Results depend on your market, your inventory, your team and how the work gets done.

Did Cart Launch sell those carts for him?

No. The store sold them. He describes his sales team working a full showroom and stepping in himself to sell. Cart Launch built the website. The selling stayed with the store.
